Lo-Fish
A downloadable game for Windows
This is a simple, semi-idle collection game where you create sequences of patterns to attract different fish, inspired by lo-fi beats and one-touch games.
Made by Cari Watterton & Scott Simpson, with material help from Adriaan Scheepers, music tracks from FASSounds and audio assets from Kenny's Game Assets and freesound.org. This game was made for GMTK Game Jam 2025, as such please be kind to the bugs! 🪲

💚 Content & Mental Health:
The game is designed to be a relaxing experience, and you can turn off the music to play to your own sounds if you prefer.
The special fish designs and fish descriptions are written with whimsical intent. While the game is about fishing, there is no animal violence and the ‘collection’ of fish is open-ended.
⚠️ Mild Spoilers on Special Fish ⚠️
In the interest of transparency, some fish designs include sharks (including a jaws reference) and monsters (ghostly fish, nessie). Only one special fish is an explicit food reference (battered haddock and chips).
Known Issues
The game should save after each fish, but maybe catch an extra to be sure if you find something special! Experience doesn’t save or load, but we ran out of time during the jam to make proper rewards for levelling up so this doesn’t affect the experience.
There is a bug where some combinations may show 1%! This is a lie (they are 0%) except for 🪝hook (blue), 🐟lure (pink), and 🟢bobber (green). 👀
